Rapper Fatman Scoop experiences a medical emergency, collapses on stage, and is quickly taken to the hospital.

Fatman Scoop was rushed to the hospital after collapsing during a performance. The rapper, whose real name is Isaac Freeman III, experienced a medical emergency on stage at Town Center Park in Hamden, Conn., on Friday, August 30. Mayor Lauren Garrett confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, stating, “Tonight, while performing at Hamden Town Center Park, Isaac Freeman, aka Fatman Scoop, had a medical emergency on stage. He is being transported by ambulance to the hospital. We will provide updates when they are available. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.”

Authorities were called to the scene at 8:33 p.m., according to TMZ. The Hamden Police Department has yet to provide further details.

Footage of the incident on X (formerly Twitter) shows Freeman, shirtless, walking from the front of the stage to the back, where he addressed the crowd with, “I said, Hamden, make some noise!” He then leaned on the DJ booth before collapsing to the ground. Medics in high-visibility vests were seen administering chest compressions while concertgoers watched.

In another video shared by TMZ, spectators are heard expressing concern as Freeman was moved from the stage, possibly for transport to the hospital. Representatives for Freeman have not yet commented, and no additional information about his condition has been released.
